If you're interested in receiving meals for the students in your organization or community, here's how to know you're ready.
Pre-qualifications
- Located in a low-income area, or where at least 50% of enrolled students are eligible for free or reduced-price school meals
- A program (park, recreation center, school, etc.) consisting of organized activities
- Storage for food cambros (containers) or refrigeration for the meals
- Staff available to take delivery of meals and keep track of corresponding paperwork
Program Requirements
- Your program/organization must provide education and/or enrichment activities
- Your program/organization must be organized primarily to provide care for students after school, during summer, or on weekends, holidays, and school vacations
Staff Responsibilities
- Staff trained by leap
- Staff available to receive meals daily from the food vendor
- Staff capable of serving meals
- Staff capable of tracking attendance, conducting meal counts, recording meal temperatures daily, and submitting monthly forms on time (it's easy with YUM — Your Universe for Meals, our proprietary platform)

What happens after you sign up
- We reach out. Our team contacts you within 3 business days and sets up your site in YUM, our proprietary platform.
- We train your staff. Sponsor-level training covers meal service, counting meals, food safety, and the simple daily routine.
- Meals arrive. Our vendors deliver on a set schedule, with transportation records for every delivery.
- Your staff logs daily stats. Counts, attendance, and temperatures — entered in seconds in YUM.
- We handle the rest. Monthly reports, CACFP/SFSP claims, compliance, and site-visit readiness — that's our job, not yours.
